After record-low cut, Korn Ferry Tour 72-hole record could fall Sunday in Texas image

K.K. Limbhasut has broken 70 in each of his first three rounds at the Veritex Bank Championship on the Korn Ferry Tour.

His 11-under total is good for… T-66.

Scores are absolutely scorching at Texas Rangers Golf Club in Arlington, where Johnny Keefer leads at 23 under. He’s just a shot clear of Austin Greaser, Rick Lamb and Caleb VanArragon. Tyson Alexander, who won each of the first two editions of this tournament (with winning scores of 23 under and 22 under), sits solo fifth, two shots off the lead.

The 36-hole cut wasn’t made until Saturday afternoon due to weather delays, and it fell at a staggering 9 under — a Korn Ferry Tour record.

That’s not the only record that might fall. Tim Widing’s 72-hole scoring mark of 31 under par, set at this very tournament last year, is within reach. Keefer would need a 62 or better Sunday to break it. Considering he’s already posted rounds of 63 and 61 this week, it’s entirely possible.
