Patrick Cantlay quietly owns the most consistent FedExCup performance over the last five seasons, even outpacing world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler.
While Scheffler has dominated headlines with his recent excellence, it’s actually Cantlay who boasts the best average finish in the FedExCup standings since 2020, posting an impressive 6.4 average final rank. Scheffler sits just behind at 7.0.
Viktor Hovland (9), Rory McIlroy (10.2), and Xander Schauffele (11.4) complete the top five among the 80 players who’ve appeared in the standings each of the last five seasons. What makes these numbers particularly meaningful is they reflect sustained excellence across different formats and schedule changes.
On the flip side, Brian Stuard has somehow managed to appear in all five end-of-season standings while averaging a rank of 181.4 – showing just how difficult it is to maintain tour status year after year.
The data pulls from the final FedExCup Fall standings for the past three seasons, while the 2020-21 and 2021-22 rankings conclude after their respective Tour Championships. It’s worth noting that this period spans both pre and post-LIV Golf eras, making these consistent performances all the more impressive.
