PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — Cadillac is returning as the title sponsor of a PGA Tour signature event at Trump National Doral, which will host one of the tour’s $20 million tournaments in 2026.
The Cadillac Championship will be held the first weekend in May on the legendary “Blue Monster” course. Doral has deep roots in tour history, having first appeared on the PGA Tour schedule in 1962 and remaining a fixture through 2016 when it hosted a World Golf Championship under various sponsorships.
Brian Rolapp, the PGA Tour’s CEO, emphasized the venue’s historical importance in the announcement.
“We appreciate the support of Cadillac as we bring a new era of the PGA Tour to our fans in Miami,” Rolapp said. “Trump National Doral is a legacy venue on our schedule.”
This marks a significant reunion between the tour and the Miami course. Cadillac previously sponsored the WGC at Trump National Doral from 2011 through 2016. The relationship ended when Cadillac didn’t renew its contract and the tour couldn’t secure a replacement sponsor while Donald Trump was the presumptive Republican nominee. The WGC event subsequently moved to Mexico City.
Doral stands among elite company as one of just eight courses that has hosted a regular PGA Tour event for at least 50 years. The others are Riviera, Pebble Beach and Torrey Pines in California; Colonial in Texas; Waialae in Hawaii; Harbour Town in South Carolina; and Muirfield Village in Ohio.
After its departure from the PGA Tour schedule, Doral found a home with LIV Golf, hosting events for the rival circuit over the last four years. The course’s return to the PGA Tour in 2026 was set in motion when the tour designated it as a signature event before securing Cadillac as the title sponsor.
