Charlie Woods now has something his famous father doesn’t at TPC Sawgrass – a hole-in-one on the Stadium Course.
The 16-year-old son of Tiger Woods aced the 177-yard, par-3 third hole during Sunday’s final round of the AJGA Junior Players Championship. While Tiger has claimed two Players Championship titles at the Pete Dye design in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, he’s never recorded a hole-in-one there.
Charlie’s ace highlighted an even-par 72 in the final round. He added four birdies – at Nos. 6, 13, 15 and 16 – to finish the championship at 7 over par, good for T-31 in his first Junior Players appearance.
Miles Russell claimed the tournament title at 9 under par, becoming the first two-time champion in the event’s history. Russell previously won the championship two years ago.
