Max Lee just earned himself a life-changing opportunity, securing the only available spot on the 2025 LIV Golf tour with a commanding performance in Saudi Arabia.
The 30-year-old from Chinese Taipei stayed cool under pressure, firing a 3-under 68 in the final round at Riyadh Golf Club. His total score of 10-under was good enough to win by two shots.

It’s been quite a year for Lee, who already had an Asian Tour victory under his belt this season before this breakthrough moment.
The competition came down to the wire, with Taichi Kho and former LIV Golf winner Branden Grace both shooting strong final rounds of 67 to tie for second place. For Grace, it was an especially tough pill to swallow – he’s now failed to regain the tour spot he lost after struggling in 2024.
The day’s real drama came from Ollie Schniederjans. The American looked like he might grab the coveted LIV spot until things fell apart late in his round. Three bogeys in just four holes on the back nine dropped him into a tie for fourth.
The tournament’s format was intense – after two rounds of cuts in Saudi Arabia, only 20 players made it to Saturday’s 36-hole finale. Lee rose to the occasion, putting together impressive rounds of 64 and 68.
While Lee has locked up his place on the LIV Golf tour for 2025, there’s still one big question mark: which team he’ll join. That decision will come later.
For the other top finishers, there was still something to celebrate. The top 10 players earned full status on the International Series, a significant stepping stone on the Asian Tour.
