Fall Schedule Taking Shape for 2026 PGA Tour Season

Fall Schedule Taking Shape for 2026 PGA Tour Season image

The PGA Tour is back at Black Desert, but with a few changes. Bank of Utah has stepped in as the new title sponsor, and the purse has dropped to $6 million from last year’s $7.5 million.

That smaller purse isn’t unique to Black Desert — it’s happening across the FedExCup Fall schedule.

The Tour’s fall series has seen significant financial adjustments compared to recent years. In 2023, seven fall events offered a combined $56.6 million in prize money, with most tournaments at $8 million or higher. Last year’s schedule expanded to eight events with total purses reaching $58.3 million. Now, with Las Vegas no longer in the mix, the seven tournaments for 2025 will distribute just $45 million total.

What’s next for the fall schedule? It’s still taking shape.

The Mississippi tournament lost its sponsorship after this year. Meanwhile, the Tour has plans for Austin, Texas, starting in November 2026. According to Sports Business Journal, Asheville, North Carolina, might also join the fall lineup.

On top of that, the Mexico Open — traditionally positioned after the West Coast swing — is likely moving to the fall portion of the schedule.

The Procore tournament in Napa, California, which typically kicks off the FedExCup Fall, faces questions about its sponsorship future. It got a major boost this year when almost the entire U.S. Ryder Cup team showed up — including Scottie Scheffler, who won the event — to avoid a month-long competitive gap. Going forward, it could become a regular stop for Presidents Cup players from both teams.
