Michael Greller, Jordan Spieth’s longtime caddie, isn’t letting his boss’s absence keep him off the course at Kapalua. He’s picking up the bag for Max Homa at The Sentry this week.
It’s a temporary gig for Greller, who’s been by Spieth’s side since day one of his pro career. He’s filling in for Homa’s regular caddie, Joe Greiner, just for this season opener in Hawaii.

Meanwhile, Spieth is still on the mend. He had surgery back in August to fix some nerve damage in his left wrist. When he talked to Golfweek last September, his arm was all wrapped up, but he seemed optimistic about getting back to full strength by New Year’s.
We still don’t know exactly when Spieth will make his 2024 debut.
The tournament’s bringing some other changes too. Homa showed up at Monday’s clinic looking different than usual – his clothes were completely logo-free. The only familiar sight? His Puma golf shoes.
Greiner will be back on Homa’s bag when he hits the West Coast swing for his next tournament.
