The battle for LPGA dreams kicks off Thursday in Mobile, Alabama, where 99 golfers will compete for at least 25 coveted tour cards.
It’s a grueling five-day test at Magnolia Grove Golf Course, where players will tackle both the Falls and Crossings courses on the famous Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail.
The stakes couldn’t be higher. The top 25 finishers (and ties) earn their ticket to the LPGA Tour, while everyone who makes it through 72 holes gets full playing rights on the developmental Epson Tour.
Three of golf’s brightest young stars had to make a tough choice just to be here. Top-10 amateurs Julia Lopez Ramirez, Adela Cernousek, and Zoe Campos all turned pro to chase their LPGA dreams at Final Qualifying (formerly known as Q-Series).
The field is stacked with familiar faces trying to get back to the big tour. Former major champion Sophia Popov is looking to reclaim her LPGA status, along with fan favorites Maria Fassi and Azahara Munoz.
Polly Mack, who finished agonizingly close at No. 101 in this year’s CME points race, gets another shot at her tour card.
The tournament has drawn talent from multiple tours. Players qualified through:
– Second stage qualifying
– Finishing 101-150 in LPGA CME points
– Placing 11-35 on the Epson Tour
– Ranking top-10 on the Ladies European Tour
Every player here has a story. Some are fresh out of college, others are veterans looking for one more shot at the big time. But they all share the same goal: earning their place among the world’s elite women golfers.
