The Masters field is down to 95 players after Vijay Singh withdrew Monday morning.
Singh, the 2000 Masters champion, pulled out of this week’s tournament at Augusta National citing an injury. The 62-year-old won’t be replaced in the field.
It’s a disappointing development for Singh, who was showing solid form. He just tied for 18th at the PGA Tour Champions’ James Hardie Pro Football Hall of Fame Invitational on Sunday and was coming off his first made cut at Augusta in six years after finishing T-58 in 2023.
The three-time major champion’s withdrawal marks the first reduction to this year’s Masters field, which now stands at 95 competitors.
