The PGA Tour is shaking things up for fall 2025, dropping down to seven tournaments and saying goodbye to Las Vegas for the first time in over 40 years.
It all kicks off September 11 at the Procore Championship in Napa, California, just two weeks after the Tour Championship wraps up. Then there’s a brief pause in the action while the Ryder Cup takes center stage.
When things get rolling again, the Sanderson Farms Championship takes the spotlight October 2-5. They’ve already locked in their sponsorship through 2025, showing some serious commitment to the game.
Japan’s getting a fresh look in the schedule too. The Baycurrent Classic is heading to Yokohama Country Club October 9-12, bringing some international flair to the fall lineup.
But here’s the big surprise: Las Vegas is out of the picture. The Shriners Children’s Open, which has been a Tour fixture since 1983, won’t be part of the fall schedule. It’s pretty remarkable considering Shriners has been backing the tournament since ’08.
The Black Desert Championship in Utah will close out October, followed by three final events:
- World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico (Nov. 6-9)
- Butterfield Bermuda Championship (Nov. 13-16)
- RSM Classic at Sea Island, Georgia (Nov. 20-23)
"We’re really raising the stakes for players this time around," says Tyler Dennis, the Tour’s chief competitions officer. "The new eligibility changes are going to make things more exciting than ever for the fans."
The trimmed-down schedule means every tournament counts even more for players trying to secure their spots for the next season. It’s going to be interesting to see how they handle the pressure.
