Bernhard Langer has done it again. The golf legend and his son Jason just captured their fourth PNC Championship together at Orlando’s Ritz-Carlton Golf Club, marking an incredible milestone in the tournament’s history.
This win is extra special – it’s Langer’s fifth overall victory in the event, matching Raymond Floyd’s long-standing record. The 66-year-old pro has now won three times with Jason and twice with his other son Stefan.

“It’s just incredible to share these moments with my boys,” Langer said after the victory. “These memories will last forever.”
The PNC Championship isn’t your typical golf tournament. It brings together major champions and Players Championship winners from across the PGA Tour, LPGA, and PGA Tour Champions – but with a family twist. Each pro gets to team up with a relative.
What started as the Father-Son tournament back in 1995 has grown into something bigger. Now you’ll see pros playing alongside their parents, daughters, and even grandkids.
The winners don’t just get bragging rights. They take home the Willie Park Trophy – a pretty unique piece of hardware that’s actually a red leather belt with sterling silver decorations. It’s based on the prize from the very first Open Championship way back in 1860.
Some pretty famous names have claimed this title over the years:
– John Daly and his son won it in 2021
– Justin Thomas teamed up with his dad for the 2020 victory
– Even the great Jack Nicklaus got in on the action, winning with his son Gary in 1999
Raymond Floyd dominated the event’s early years, winning three straight times with Raymond Jr. from 1995-1997, then adding two more victories with his other son Robert in 2000 and 2001.
The tournament keeps getting bigger and better. Next year’s edition is set for December 21-22, right back at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, where more golf families will try to write their names into the history books.
