The Europeans are nearly running it back
Luke Donald is bringing back almost the entire squad that dominated in Rome two years ago. After announcing his six captain’s picks on Monday, Donald’s European team for the September 26-28 matches at Bethpage Black features 11 of the 12 players from the 2023 roster.
Rory McIlroy, Robert MacIntyre, Tommy Fleetwood, Justin Rose, Tyrrell Hatton and Rasmus Höjgaard qualified automatically, while Donald selected Shane Lowry, Sepp Straka, Ludvig Åberg, Viktor Hovland, Matt Fitzpatrick and Jon Rahm. The only change from 2023? Rasmus Höjgaard replaces his twin brother Nicolai.
