Scottie Scheffler has won the PGA Tour’s Jack Nicklaus Award for player of the year for the fourth consecutive season, joining elite company in the process.

Scheffler becomes just the second player ever to win the award four or more times in a row. Only Tiger Woods has a longer streak, claiming the honor five straight seasons starting in 1999.

The award, voted on by PGA Tour players, caps off a dominant 2025 campaign for Scheffler. He collected six victories, including two majors – the PGA Championship and The Open Championship. The Tour doesn’t disclose vote totals, but Rory McIlroy, Tommy Fleetwood and Ben Griffin were the other nominees.

What makes Scheffler’s season even more impressive is how he dominated statistically. He won the Byron Nelson Award for lowest scoring average and led the Tour in three key strokes gained categories: tee to green, approach the green, and total.

“Scottie’s consistent level of success has been nothing short of spectacular as he continues to chase history on the PGA Tour, and we’re excited to see what he will deliver in 2026,” said Tour CEO Brian Rolapp.

Scheffler wasn’t the only player recognized. Aldrich Potgieter took home rookie of the year honors after winning the Rocket Classic and posting two other top-10 finishes – a playoff loss at the VidantaWorld Mexico Open and a T-6 at the Charles Schwab Challenge. The South African was the only rookie to qualify for the 2025 playoffs.
