The Ryder Cup is headed to Spain.

Camiral Golf and Wellness Resort in Caldes de Malavella will host the 2031 matches, Ramon Nogue, president of the Catalan golf federation, confirmed to the Associated Press on Friday. The Spanish outlet La Vanguardia first reported the news.

Ryder Cup Europe is expected to make an official announcement next week.

Camiral, located near Girona and just up the coast from Barcelona, was formerly known as PGA Catalunya. The venue has hosted multiple Spanish Opens on the DP World Tour, establishing its credentials as a championship-caliber course.

This marks the second time Spain will welcome the biennial competition between the U.S. and Europe. Valderrama Golf Club in Andalucia hosted the 1997 Ryder Cup, which was the first time the matches were played in continental Europe. That event saw Seve Ballesteros captain the European team to a narrow victory on home soil.

The addition of Camiral continues the Ryder Cup’s pattern of alternating between iconic American venues and European courses with both history and modern amenities. It’s also a nod to Spain’s rich golfing tradition and the country’s significant contributions to European golf over the decades.

Upcoming Ryder Cup venues:

2025 – Bethpage Black, Farmingdale, New York
2027 – Adare Manor, County Limerick, Ireland
2029 – Hazeltine National, Chaska, Minnesota
2031 – Camiral Golf and Wellness Resort, Caldes de Malavella, Spain
2033 – Olympic Club, San Francisco
