Stephen Curry is returning to the American Century Championship this year, bringing his flair for dramatic moments back to the celebrity golf tournament.

Curry won the event in 2023 with an unforgettable walk-off eagle but skipped last year while preparing to help Team USA capture basketball gold at the Paris Olympics.

The Warriors star delivered perhaps the most thrilling finish in ACC history two years ago when he drained an 18-foot eagle putt on the final hole to edge tennis pro Mardy Fish. What made it even more remarkable? Under the modified Stableford scoring system, a birdie instead of eagle would have left Curry one point short.

That wasn’t his only highlight at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course. Curry made four eagles that week, including a hole-in-one at the 165-yard, par-3 seventh during the second round.

Fish, who won last year’s tournament, will be back to defend his title. Curry’s father Dell and brother Seth are also in the field. They’ll join a star-studded lineup of 90 celebrities including NFL stars Travis and Jason Kelce, Josh Allen and Aaron Rodgers, comedians Colin Jost and Nate Bargatze, plus Charles Barkley and Alex Rodriguez.

The tournament runs July 11-13 in South Lake Tahoe, Nevada, with NBC and Peacock providing live coverage of all three rounds.
