Steve Stricker has a message for anyone who thinks he’s boring: bring it on.
“If someone calls me boring, or my game boring, it’s not a negative to me at all,” says the golf legend. “It proved to work for me. And boring can transition very quickly into brilliant.”
That’s exactly what caught PNC Bank’s attention. They’ve made Stricker the star of their latest “Boring Before Brilliance” film, which shows how seemingly dull routines can lead to amazing results.
And Stricker knows a thing or two about brilliant results.
He’s racked up 12 PGA Tour wins and grabbed seven major titles on the PGA Tour Champions. Even more impressive? He’s the only player ever named PGA Tour Comeback Player of the Year twice.
Now he’s getting ready to tee it up with his daughter Izzi at the PNC Championship. It’s their second time playing together in this special parent-child tournament.
The documentary, created by the same folks behind ESPN’s “30 for 30” series, gives fans a peek behind the curtain at what it really takes to become great. Sometimes, it’s those quiet, repetitive moments that make all the difference.
You can catch Team Stricker in action at the PNC Championship on December 21-22.
