Talor Gooch captured his second LIV Golf Andalucia title at Valderrama on Sunday, shooting a final-round 70 to finish at 8-under par. It’s Gooch’s fourth individual victory on the Saudi-funded circuit, cementing his status as one of LIV’s most consistent performers.
Jon Rahm made a strong push with a 6-under 65, finishing just one stroke behind Gooch. The Spanish star’s performance wasn’t enough for individual honors, but it helped propel his Legion XIII squad to its third team title this season.
What makes Gooch’s achievement remarkable is his dominance at Valderrama. He’s now won twice in just three appearances at the notoriously difficult Spanish layout. His comfort level on the course was evident throughout the weekend as he navigated the tight fairways and small greens.
Gooch has become LIV’s most decorated player. He’s collected an impressive 13 trophies across all competitions – four individual tournament wins, seven regular-season team victories, the 2022 team championship with 4Aces, and the 2023 individual season championship.
Abraham Ancer rounded out the podium, finishing third at 5-under after posting a solid 66 in the final round.
Bryson DeChambeau, who’s been in excellent form recently, struggled this week. He closed with a 3-over 74, dropping him into a tie for 30th at 3-over par for the tournament.
