Tony Finau has put the LIV Golf rumors to rest while revealing he’s been quietly dealing with knee surgery.

“They’re not true,” Finau said about the whispers of him jumping to LIV. “I’m more than happy where I’m at on the PGA Tour and looking forward to 2025.”

The 34-year-old star had surgery on October 15 to fix a torn meniscus in his left knee. It wasn’t just a small fix – doctors also removed some cartilage while they were in there, though Finau downplayed it as a “pretty standard clean-up.”

He hasn’t played competitively since late September’s Presidents Cup.

But that doesn’t mean he’s been completely away from golf. In a touching father-son moment, Finau was spotted caddying for his oldest boy, Jraice, at the Notah Begay III Boys Junior Golf National Championship in early November.

Now, with his recovery ongoing, Finau’s not quite sure about his next tournament appearance. He told Golfweek he’s “50-50” on whether he’ll partner with Nelly Korda at next week’s Grant Thornton Invitational in Naples, Florida.

But one thing’s certain – he’s planning to tee it up at The Sentry in Hawaii next month, the PGA Tour’s season opener.

“When I tee it up in Maui, it will all go away,” Finau said about the LIV speculation. “So, I don’t worry about it one bit.”
