The PGA Tour’s Texas swing wraps up this weekend, and when it’s done, we’re officially into Masters Week.
The Valero Texas Open serves as the final tune-up opportunity for players headed to Augusta National. While some big names like Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy are sitting this one out, there’s still plenty of star power at TPC San Antonio. You can catch all the action on Golf Channel, NBC and Peacock.
There’s $9.5 million up for grabs, with the winner taking home a cool $1.7 million. But the real prize might be rolling into Georgia with momentum. Here’s who the oddsmakers like this week:

Rising star Ludvig Åberg leads the betting favorites, with Tommy Fleetwood and three-time Valero champion Corey Conners right behind him. Patrick Cantlay and Jordan Spieth round out a top five that features plenty of firepower.
What makes this tournament interesting is its positioning. It’s the last chance for players to sharpen their games before Augusta, but it’s also a chance for someone not yet qualified for the Masters to punch their ticket with a win.
The way I see it, this is the perfect week to watch for players who might be flying under the radar heading into next week’s major. Sometimes the best Masters preparation comes from contending on Sunday in a regular Tour event.
