Joaquin Niemann won LIV Golf Virginia on Sunday for his fourth victory in the Saudi-funded tour’s first eight events this season. The Chilean closed with an 8-under 63 at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club, edging Graeme McDowell and Anirban Lahiri by a single stroke.

Niemann broke out of a crowded leaderboard with a blistering stretch of four consecutive birdies on holes 14 through 17. A closing par on the 18th secured his victory at 15-under 198.

The 26-year-old’s dominance on the LIV circuit this year is remarkable. He’s already claimed trophies in Australia, Singapore, Mexico, and now Virginia. That’s six career LIV victories to go with his two previous PGA Tour wins.

McDowell posted a solid 66 in the final round, while second-round leader Lahiri couldn’t quite maintain his advantage, finishing with a 68.

Bryson DeChambeau, tuning up for his U.S. Open title defense at Oakmont, fired a 65 to finish tied for fourth at 13 under. He shared that position with Phil Mickelson, who electrified the crowd with an insane flop-shot hole-out for birdie during his own 65, and Bubba Watson, who shot 67.

Jon Rahm, one of LIV’s highest-profile signings, finished tied for eighth at 10 under after a final-round 68.

In the team competition, DeChambeau and Lahiri led the Crushers to victory.
