PGA Championship 2025 Weather: No Fans Allowed Monday at Quail Hollow

PGA Championship 2025 Weather: No Fans Allowed Monday at Quail Hollow image

The PGA Championship’s early week is looking like a washout, but tournament days should be clear at Quail Hollow Club. Thunderstorms and heavy rain are hammering Charlotte, North Carolina ahead of the year’s second major.

PGA of America officials closed the course to fans Monday as the area braces for up to 2 inches of rain and potential flash flooding. Sunday’s storms were just the beginning. Fans with Monday tickets can use them Tuesday or Wednesday instead.

Don’t expect much relief Tuesday, though. There’s a 96% chance of rain with “a couple of showers and a thunderstorm” in the forecast. Wednesday looks slightly better but still wet, with “a couple of morning showers” and a 64% chance of precipitation.

The good news? Once players tee off for the championship rounds, conditions should improve dramatically. Temperatures will climb to 87 degrees with minimal chance of rain. Saturday might see a few spotty showers, but nothing that should significantly impact play.

All things considered, players might face soggy practice conditions but should enjoy relatively ideal weather once the competition begins.
